These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the injured during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later released.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
